An established and reputable travel agency with over 10 and above years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. The company specializes in outbound travel services and works closely with business partners, corporate clients, and travel industry stakeholders across Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
We are currently looking for an experienced Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of travel fairs, roadshows, exhibitions, trade shows, corporate events, and partner engagement activities. The successful candidate will play an important role in enhancing brand visibility, generating business leads, strengthening partnerships, and supporting overall sales objectives.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute travel fairs, roadshows, exhibitions, trade shows, and corporate events from planning through completion.
Work closely with internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure smooth event execution.
Coordinate with external parties including vendors, event organizers, malls, venues, and business partners.
Manage event schedules, logistics, setup, dismantling, and on-site operations.
Ensure branding, promotional materials, and messaging are properly implemented across event touchpoints.
Monitor event budgets, expenses, and resources to ensure cost-effective execution.
Develop opportunities for lead generation and sales conversion through events and related activities.
Support event marketing and promotional campaigns across relevant channels.
Manage attendee registration, invitations, engagement, and participation records.
Conduct post-event reviews and prepare reports to evaluate event performance and identify areas for improvement.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, partners, organizers, and other stakeholders.
Lead, coordinate, and supervise event teams to ensure smooth and successful execution.
Perform other event-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of relevant experience in event management, preferably within the travel, tourism, hospitality, or related industry.
Strong organizational, project management, coordination, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin will be an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Familiarity with event management platforms will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of budget management, cost control, and event planning.
Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with good attention to detail.
Able to work effectively with different departments, vendors, partners, and external stakeholders.
Hands-on experience managing events from A–Z, including planning, coordination, setup, on-site execution, and dismantling.
Candidates with experience handling travel fairs, tourism-related events, exhibitions, or roadshows will have an added advantage.
Willingness to travel and work during weekends or public holidays when required for event execution.
