Job summary

Kelington Group Berhad is seeking a capable Tender/Quantity Surveyor to support tenders, cost estimates, bid documents, and commercial submissions across project sites in Malaysia. You will collect quotations, perform take-offs, compile technical and commercial documents, maintain cost records, and liaise with project, procurement, and finance teams to ensure contract compliance and accurate valuations.

Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential; a degree in Engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• At least 2 years of working experience on construction site or quantity surveying.
• Own transport and willingness to travel to project sites in Malaysia.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of tenders, cost estimates, and bid documents.
• Collect and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and basic cost analyses from drawings.
• Compile technical and commercial documents for submission.
• Maintain tender tracking, vendor databases, and cost records.
• Assist in preparing progress claims, variation orders (VO), and cost reports.
• Support in verifying subcontractor claims and quotations.
• Collect site data and measurement records for valuation purposes.
• Maintain contract documentation, VO logs, and correspondence records.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and finance teams on contract-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and client contractual obligations.

Qualification/Job Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree holder or higher in any field of Engineering; Construction Management or related field;
• Possess at least 2 years of working experience in the construction site or related experience in quantity surveying would be an added advantage;
• Possess own transport and willing to travel to assigned project site within Malaysia;
• Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia - Writing and speaking;
