Wistron Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an EHS professional to lead induction, training, and safety programs at Port Klang. You will drive HIRARC/EAI assessments, support audits for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, and coordinate with local authorities for drills.
Strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin is a plus. You will ensure contractor safety, organize EHS events, and help implement actions to achieve planned programs in a fast-paced manufacturing
Applicant must willing to work in Port Klang, Selangor
Conduct EHS new hire induction and EHS training programs such as Chemical Management, Hearing Conservation, Contractor Safety, Scheduled Waste Management, etc.
Update and revise EHS Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to match with latest EHS local and other requirements.
Involve in contractor safety management by providing safety briefing to contractor to ensure compliance and conduct contractor safety inspection.
Organize EHS events including safety and environmental talk, EHS campaign and activities.
Assist in the implementation of actions to achieve the EHS planned programs.
Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) and Environmental Aspect and Impact (EAI) at workplace and provide recommendations for improvement.
Publish EHS articles to enhance employees awareness on EHS.
Conduct periodic EHS inspection and provide recommendation for improvement.
Assist in external and internal audit for ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 and social compliance audit such as RBA.
Coordinate with local authorities such as BOMBA, Hospital, Police and ERT members to conduct emergency drills.
Support in regulatory compliance audit and inspection from DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, AELB, MPK, etc.
Assist in investigation of accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and near miss at workplace.
Continuously developing, reviewing and updating EHS SOP & Work Instruction to ensure it is relevant to local and other requirements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in related field in Occupational Safety and Health with Safety Officer certification (Safety Health Officer, SHO Green Book certification)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environment in Plant working environment. Electrical and Electronics working experience is an added advantage
Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems such as ISO14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001, Environmental Management Systems such as Incident Investigation and other related activities
Valid CePSWAM (Schedule Waste Competent Person) will be an added advantage
Experienced in Internal and External Audit
Good in EHS procedure and write up
Good in analytical, team player and independent
Good communication in English, Bahasa Malaysia. We are also seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with our Mandarin speaking clients.
