Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician with expertise in SMT line equipment and preventive maintenance. The role covers routine diagnostics, calibration, and rapid response to machine downtime across day and night shifts.

Strong teamwork and proactive problem-solving are essential to keep production running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solder printers, AOI/X-ray systems, and reflow ovens, along with good English and Malay communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or Higher Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to improve SMT/back-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Conduct corrective maintenance, adjustments, and calibration for machines and breakdowns.
• Assist in minimizing downtime and supporting production line recovery.

Familiar with Solder Printing machine (DEK, GKG & MPM) program, Parmi, Koh Young, and Sinictek SPI programming, ASM Siplace/ Fuji NXT pick & place machine program & software, AOI (2D Jutze, 3D Vitrox), Reflow oven (JT & Ersa), X Ray (2D, 3D & CT Scan), Backend process (Tape Bonding, Labelling, Glue Top, Laser Engrave/Cut, PCBA Cleaning, Router, and Crimping) with troubleshooting knowledge and handling skills

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance (PM) according to schedule

Conduct corrective maintenance, adjustment, part replacement, and calibration for machine and machine breakdowns

Assist in minimize & support equipment downtime for production line recovery

Maintain machine cleanliness and proper condition

Escalate major issues to Equipment Engineer when required

Monitor machine performance with ensure machine parameters follow approved settings and report abnormalities and assist in setup and changeover of production lines

Record maintenance activities in maintenance log sheet/system

Other additional work tasks or additional roles will be assigned by the superior from time to time

2.0 Job Requirements

Certificate, Diploma, or Higher Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or a related engineering field

Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience

Good communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong awareness of improving SMT and SMT backend process efficiency and quality

Ability to proactively propose and implement improvements to enhance production effectiveness and increase productivity

Positive thinker, able to work under pressure with minimal guidance

Able to work 12-hour shifts (day & night) and support overtime whenever required by the company

Positive work attitude, with the ability to actively share knowledge and learn among technicians

Proficient in English, Malay, and Mandarin; Mandarin is an advantage for liaising with China counterparts
