We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PCBA Production Technician to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our SMT lines and Wave Soldering equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure high-yield production while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:
1. SMT Line Management
- Set up and operate solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, SPI, AOI, and reflow ovens.
- Manage component loading, feeder verification, and program loading.
- Handle change-overs and perform First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure production accuracy.
- Monitor machine performance to maintain a stable and efficient production flow.
2. Wave Soldering Operation
- Manage end-to-end machine setup, operation, and monitoring to meet production targets.
- Optimize solder pot temperatures, conveyor speeds, and flux settings based on technical requirements.
- Coordinate the efficient loading/unloading of assemblies using pallets and fixtures.
3. Troubleshooting & Process Control
- Diagnose and resolve common PCBA defects such as misalignment, tombstoning, solder bridging, and missing components.
- Troubleshoot feeder faults, nozzle issues, and vacuum errors.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers to optimize temperature profiles and improve overall yield.
4. Quality Assurance & Maintenance
- Perform pre- and post-soldering inspections in compliance with IPC-A-610 and internal quality standards.
- Review SPI/AOI results and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of nozzles and feeders to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation following SOPs.
- Strictly adhere to ESD-safe practices and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Certificate in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering or related field.
- 1–3 years of proven experience in PCBA manufacturing, specifically operating SMT and/or Wave Soldering machinery.
- Strong understanding of through-hole assembly and SMT principles.
- Knowledge of lead-free processes and temperature profiling.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings, job travelers, and work instructions.
- Basic understanding of IPC standards (IPC-A-610).
- Ability to use microscopes, multimeters, rework equipment and measurement tools.
- Willing to work on rotating shifts/overtime when needed.
