Job summary

Globetronics Technology Berhad in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced AOI & SBJ Equipment & Process Engineer to develop and optimize AOI and SBJ processes for semiconductor manufacturing. You will set up AOI recipes, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on AOI experience, SBJ process knowledge, and strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced fab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience with AOI systems and process optimization.
• Experience with SBJ process preferred.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, 8D, RCA and CAPA.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willing to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and sustain AOI and SBJ processes for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Set up, program, qualify, and optimize AOI inspection parameters and recipes.
• Troubleshoot AOI and SBJ process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze defects, inspection results, yield, and process data to identify improvements.
• Drive yield, quality, productivity, and process capability improvements.
• Support NPI, process qualification, engineering builds, and product transfer.
• Establish and maintain process specifications, SOPs, work instructions, control plans, and docs.
• Conduct RCA, 8D, CAPA, DOE, SPC and FMEA as required.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Equipment, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor process performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Support equipment setup, preventive maintenance, calibration, and capability studies.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, ESD, and semiconductor manufacturing requirements.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AOI & SBJ Equipment & Process Engineer to support semiconductor manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and SBJ process development, optimization, troubleshooting, yield improvement, and process control. This role will work closely with Production, QA, Equipment Engineering, and NPI teams to ensure stable processes, high quality, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
