Job summary

LONGCHEER TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a biomedical-precision engineer to drive uptime improvements and support SIP packaging lines. The role emphasizes preventive/corrective maintenance, machine vision, and automation upgrades in a manufacturing setting.

The candidate should hold mechanical/electromechanical degrees and have experience with SIP inspection equipment, PLCs, sensors, and automated handling systems. Shift support may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in SIP manufacturing, backend packaging, or automated inspection equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of machine vision systems, industrial cameras, optics, lighting, and image processing is an advantage.
• Familiarity with PLCs, motion control, sensors, and automated material handling systems.
• Basic understanding of SIP semiconductor packaging and visual inspection requirements.
• Experience in equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration, and equipment qualification.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to support production requirements, including shift support when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvement in equipment uptime, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, equipment utilization, and inspection throughput.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on AVI equipment and associated automated handling systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment alarms, communication failures, image acquisition issues, and machine vision system errors.
• Ensure equipment readiness for new SIP product launches and engineering builds.
• Maintain equipment spare parts, maintenance records, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Update equipment SOPs, PM checklists, calibration records, and technical documentation.
• Conduct equipment trials and ensure inspection readiness before production release.
• Support machine vision system setup, calibration, and verification.
• Support automation upgrades, software improvements, and machine vision system enhancements.
