Job summary

GN ReSound (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Johor seeks an Equipment Engineer on a full-time basis to maintain manufacturing equipment and provide software engineering support within the Engineering department.

About the role

We are seeking an Equipment Engineer to join our team in Johor on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Engineering department, playing a crucial role in the maintenance of our sophisticated hearing aid manufacturing equipment. As Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for equipment maintenance, software engineering support and other assigned technical support whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

In general, responsible for equipment maintenance, software engineering support and other assigned technical support.

Bridge JB and GTO in terms of technical issues.

Contact global equipment suppliers and provide timely solutions to technical issues on equipment.

Design, select, install and maintain the equipment, and other facilities in manufacture process.

Train operators to apply and maintain the facilities in daily manufacturing activities.

Manage, improve and upgrade the equipment total productivity based on requirements.

Install, validate and maintain equipment and relevant software. Take lead to solve equipment and software related issues.

Responsible for periodical calibration of equipment.

Backup and maintain test data.

Control / Install / update test program.

Create Work Instruction and maintain historical record for equipment.

Provide other technical support to production lines. Responsible for the production and Equipment environment.

Ensure implementation, adherence and participation to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures by applying to areas of responsibility.

Continuously contribute, develop and implement ideas that improve performance.

Other tasks assigned by the superior.

What we’re looking for

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Electronics, Mechanical and IT is preferred

Minimum 3 years and above in equipment engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical roles

Fluent in oral and written English with good computer and office tools skills. IT and TPM background preferred.

Experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance programmes

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop practical solutions

Attentions to details, open minded and result oriented.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across departments

Flexibility in managing changes and challenges.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and manufacturing methodologies
