HPS Partners Pte Ltd is seeking a senior equipment engineering leader to drive automation initiatives for new product launches, growth, and reliable manufacturing. You will oversee the team, equipment projects, and supplier partnerships from development through production deployment.
Responsibilities include leading the equipment engineering team, planning readiness and capacity, resolving critical issues, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production targets.
Lead equipment engineering and automation initiatives to support new product launches, production growth, and reliable manufacturing operations. Oversee the team, equipment projects, and supplier partnerships from development through production deployment.
Lead and develop the equipment engineering team.
Oversee custom equipment and tooling projects, from specification and supplier selection to installation and production qualification.
Plan equipment readiness and capacity for new products, production ramps, and factory expansion.
Resolve critical equipment issues and improve uptime, throughput, yield, and reliability.
Use performance data and structured problem-solving to guide maintenance and improvement priorities.
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to achieve production targets.
Manage supplier delivery, technical performance, and project timelines.
Establish engineering standards and report project progress, risks, and investment needs to management.
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
At least 12 years of relevant equipment engineering experience, including team leadership.
Experience developing and deploying automated equipment in high-volume manufacturing.
Track record supporting new product introduction, manufacturing scale-up, and equipment commissioning.
Knowledge of PLCs, motion control, robotics, machine vision, sensors, and industrial control systems.
Strong supplier management, project execution, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement skills.
Familiarity with CAD tools and equipment metrics such as OEE, MTBF, and MTTR.
Hands-on leadership style with strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
