Highstar Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kedah seeks an experienced Equipment Management Manager to oversee asset lifecycle, vendor coordination, and 6S and safety compliance. You will lead cross-functional teams, monitor performance, and drive improvements in workshop operations and maintenance planning.
The role requires at least 5 years of equipment management experience in manufacturing, strong leadership, and ability to align with production goals and quality standards.
1. Allocate responsibilities among department employees, organize the implementation of tasks assigned by company management, and monitor and follow up on completion.
2. Assist with new equipment investment applications, equipment tendering, and quotation management.
3. Assist in equipment investment planning by comparing equipment investment costs with expected benefits and evaluating the necessity and feasibility of equipment purchases.
4. Assist with equipment selection and solution evaluation by comparing equipment performance and relevant technical data, preparing proposals, and submitting recommendations for management approval.
5. Assist with equipment incoming inspection and acceptance. Inspect equipment upon arrival, including checking for transportation damage and other abnormalities, and coordinate reviews with the Engineering, Quality, Production, and other relevant departments.
6. Monitor and control the equipment installation, commissioning, and debugging process.
7. Manage equipment spare parts and maintain proper spare parts inventory control.

1. Promote employee awareness of company values, corporate culture, and relevant company policies.

3. Develop departmental training plans, conduct department-level training for new employees, and organize employee job competency and skills assessments.
4. Work with the Human Resources Department to implement multi-skilled employee training and development programs.
5. Allocate and adjust manpower reasonably according to workload and operational requirements.
6. Manage departmental employees and identify and submit appropriate manpower planning and staffing requirements.
7. Conduct exit interviews with employees who resign and provide relevant feedback when required.
Labor Productivity Improvement
1. Establish and implement the department's 6S Management and safety management systems in accordance with company requirements.
2. Monitor workplace 6S standards and safety management practices.
3. Inspect and follow up on abnormalities identified during 6S and safety inspections, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
4. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve departmental 6S and safety management documentation and records.

Bachelor's Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines.
