Job summary

HPS Partners Pte Ltd is seeking a senior equipment engineering leader to drive automation initiatives for new product launches, growth, and reliable manufacturing. You will oversee the team, equipment projects, and supplier partnerships from development through production deployment.

Responsibilities include leading the equipment engineering team, planning readiness and capacity, resolving critical issues, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of equipment engineering experience with team leadership.
• Experience deploying automated equipment in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience supporting NPI, scale-up, and equipment commissioning.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motion control, robotics, machine vision, sensors, and industrial control systems.
• Strong supplier management, project execution, and reliability improvement skills.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and equipment metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR).
• Hands-on leadership style with strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the equipment engineering team.
• Oversee equipment projects from specification to installation and qualification.
• Plan equipment readiness and capacity for new products and expansions.
• Resolve critical equipment issues to improve uptime, throughput, and reliability.
• Use data-driven problem solving to guide maintenance priorities.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to hit production targets.
• Manage supplier delivery, performance, and project timelines.
• Report progress, risks, and investment needs to management.
