Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd in Ipoh, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced engineer to support EOL activities across RFQ review, TGA, and cross-functional coordination within the PM, QA, and Process teams.

The role includes reviewing BOMs & flow charts, updating packing specs, supporting NPI and mass production, and driving yield improvements to achieve 98.5% or higher while ensuring on-time releases with the NPI and Package Development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related discipline).
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, assembly, test, or NPI environment is an added advantage.
• Industry context: Consumer Electronics Manufacturing with large-scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQ prepared by PM team on EOL items.
• Review TGA on EOL related items.
• Attend con-call with customer and share project/action item updates.
• Liaise with cross-functional departments, suppliers and customers on EOL items.
• Review BOM/Plan ID/Flow charts for approval.
• Update packaging specs and tool buyoff (Pick & Place / Laser Mark / Mold).
• Support NPI, process transfer, and mass production.
• Prepare engineering validation or qualification reports for NPI/newly developed package.
• Monitor processes to ensure NPIs meet 98.5% yield targets.
• Collaborate with NPI, Package Development, and EOL teams to ensure on-time releases.
• Coordinate with PM/Planner/QA/Prod/Process/Maintenance/Tooling to ensure builds finish on time.
