Job summary

Logikontrol Sdn Bhd is seeking an Environmental Compliance professional to monitor construction activities for air, water, noise, waste and pollution control in the Klang Valley region.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in environmental fields, at least 3 years of experience, and certifications CePSWaM/CISEC/CESSWI/CEPEOEIA. You will ensure regulatory compliance and maintain records, coordinating with DOE/JAS and clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in environmental management, science, engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• At least 3 years' experience in environmental role.
• Certified in CePSWaM/CISEC/CESSWI/CEPEOEIA or equivalent.
• Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations and best practices.
• Good documentation, reporting and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and conduct regular inspections at construction sites.
• Able to work in Klang Valley.

Responsibilities

• Monitor environmental aspects of construction activities, including air quality, water quality, noise, vibration, waste and pollution control.
• Conduct regular environmental inspections and identify potential environmental risks and non-compliance.
• Implement and monitor environmental management plans and mitigation measures.
• Monitor proper handling, storage, transportation and disposal of scheduled waste and other construction waste.
• Maintain proper environmental records, reports, permits and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring, sampling and testing with consultants, laboratories and relevant parties.
• Investigate environmental complaints, incidents and non-conformities and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Conduct environmental briefings and awareness programmes for workers and subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractors' compliance with environmental requirements and project procedures.
• Liaise with DOE/JAS, consultants, clients, subcontractors and other relevant parties on environmental matters

Job description

Monitor and ensure construction activities comply with applicable environmental laws, regulations and project requirements. Ensure compliance with requirements of the Department of Environment (DOE/JAS) and other relevant authorities.
