Job summary

Press Metal is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer in Malaysia to support the development and implementation of Group EHS policies and management systems. You will coordinate with entity EHS teams to monitor performance, ensure compliance, and drive improvement actions across multiple sites.

The role requires a degree in relevant fields, experience in manufacturing, and strong knowledge of ISO 14001/45001, with good English and Bahasa Malaysia and willingness to travel to

Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
  • Relevant EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Good knowledge of applicable occupational safety, health and environmental legislation.
  • Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and corporate EHS management systems.
  • Experience in EHS audits, incident investigations, risk management and performance reporting.
  • Experience coordinating EHS matters across multiple sites or business entities is an advantage.
  • Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Willing to travel to operating entities when required.

Responsibilities

  • Support audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Maintain Group EHS records, dashboards and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate EHS meetings, training and sharing of good practices.
  • Follow up with entity teams on assigned actions and deadlines.
  • Undertake other duties assigned by Management.
  • Develop and standardise Group EHS policies, procedures and programmes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to entity EHS teams.
  • Monitor compliance with legal, Group and ISO 14001/45001 requirements.
  • Coordinate Group EHS audits, risk assessments and corrective-action follow-up.
  • Review significant incidents, investigation findings and preventive actions.
  • Analyse Group EHS performance and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for Management and support training and knowledge sharing.
  • Undertake other duties assigned by Management.
