Responsible for the effective leadership and management of the assigned EHS engineering process, goods and services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing/costing/expense expectations to meet department/company objectives.
Establish and Maintain EHS Management System
- Remain abreast of new and ever-changing applicable EHS system standards requirements
- Assist in the creation, maintenance and implementation of EHS system procedures to ensure processes consistently meets applicable standards and regulatory requirements
- Work with respective functional teams to ensure compliance at sites
Lead and Support Audit Process at Penang Sites
- Participate/ lead audit activities as requested, ensure timely response and follow through on corrective actions to audit findings
- Conduct internal audits pertaining to EHS to evaluate the effectiveness of the EHS system and identify areas for improvement
Continuous Improvement and Education
- Work collaboratively with other functional teams to improve EHS System related activities in adhering to standard requirements.
- Provide trainings on standard requirements and auditors.
Provide Guidance on Completion of CAPA
- Work with owners of corrective action issues pertaining to EHS to ensure resolution is implemented in a timely manner according to defined performance goals
- Emphasize the importance of accurately defining the situation, root cause, and corrective action plans prior to implementation
- Confirm that supporting documentation reflects actions taken
Provide Support to EHS Committee
- Support EHS committee in organizing and implementing environmental, occupational safety and health program at the work place.
- Assist the EHS committee in any inspection of the work place for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the regulations.
Mentoring and Guidance
- Provide functional guidance to juniors in accomplishing operational objectives

Education/Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferably with more than 5 years working experience in EHS role and in EMS or semiconductors industries.
Familiar with ISO 14001 and ISO45001.
Must be registered Safety and Health Officer by DOSH.
The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
