Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd seeks a Relationship Manager to cultivate and manage a portfolio of individual and corporate clients. You will deliver tailored financial advice across banking products, investments, and wealth management, aligning portfolios with clients' goals and risk profiles.

You will drive sales targets, review client objectives, and collaborate with product specialists to provide integrated solutions while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and accurate CRM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in relationship management within the banking or financial services industry, preferably with a focus on high-net-worth clients.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.
• Strong understanding of banking products, investment vehicles, and wealth management solutions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Results-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the Malaysian financial sector.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE) are highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; Mandarin or other local dialects would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with a portfolio of individual and corporate clients.
• Identify client needs and provide comprehensive financial advice and solutions across banking products, investments, and wealth management services.
• Proactively engage with clients to understand their financial goals and risk profiles, offering suitable UOB products and services.
• Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for various banking products, including deposits, loans, investments, and insurance.
• Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios to ensure alignment with their financial objectives and market conditions.
• Prepare and present financial proposals and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with product specialists and other internal departments to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales activities in the CRM system.
