Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Relationship Manager to grow a portfolio of high-value clients, analyzing needs and delivering tailored banking solutions. You will cross-sell deposits, investments, and insurance while maintaining top-level client service.

You will build ongoing client relationships, monitor portfolios, and collaborate with credit analysts and product specialists to meet business targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in relationship management, sales, or business development within banking/financial services, preferably with high-net-worth or SME focus.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
• Strong understanding of banking products, investment instruments, and financial markets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid licenses/certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE) will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proactively acquire new high-net-worth clients and expand existing relationships through needs-based selling and cross-selling of UOB products and services.
• Conduct financial needs analysis and risk profiling to recommend suitable banking solutions.
• Develop and implement relationship strategies to meet client objectives and targets.
• Monitor market trends and conditions to identify opportunities and threats to portfolios.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
• Prepare and present reports on client portfolio performance, sales activities, and pipeline management.
• Collaborate with product specialists, credit analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
• Resolve client inquiries and complaints efficiently, escalating issues as required.
• Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities.
