Job summary

NationGate Solution (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an IT Infrastructure Network Engineer to support, maintain, and troubleshoot our enterprise network. You will work on implementing and monitoring network infrastructure, and assist with telco and device management across switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and VPN solutions.

The role requires basic TLS/TCP/IP knowledge, familiarity with Layer 2/3 networking, and exposure to Cisco/H3C/Huawei/Sangfor/Sophos/Palo Alto/Arista devices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply; 1–2 years' experience is a plus.
• Basic TLS, TCP/IP, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts, switching, VoIP, SD-WAN and routing.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of network infrastructure.
• Assist in managing telco and network devices (switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, VPNs).
• Support network security measures to protect data, software and hardware.
• Apply fundamental TCP/IP and networking knowledge in daily operations.
• Monitor network performance and escalate issues.
• Troubleshoot network-related incidents and assist RCA activities.
• Follow IT policies, procedures and best practices.
• Coordinate with service providers on connectivity and support matters.
• Support IT service delivery and ensure service levels.
• Identify operational issues and elevate risks to availability.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations and procedures.
• Exposure to cybersecurity tools and technologies is advantageous.
• Work with customer IT teams on NPI projects and incident reports.
