Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan GMRecruitment Sdn Bhd is seeking a Network Engineer to plan and design campus network architecture, select products, and review technical drawings. You will lead firewall, switch, and WLAN installations, coordinating with contractors on-site to resolve issues.

You will monitor and optimize the LAN, manage migrations, and address security risks to improve overall performance and reliability. Strong TCP/IP knowledge and English/Mandarin/Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3 years of networking experience with large-scale environments and complex issue troubleshooting.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge including STP, DHCP, BGP, VPN, SD-WAN, stacking.
• Experience with Fortinet, H3C, Huawei, Edgecore devices and regimes.
• Windows OS installation, troubleshooting, and basic desk/ network support.
• Good communication, teamwork, customer-oriented mindset, and bilingual capabilities.

• Plan, design, and improve campus network architecture, including selection of network products and review of technical drawings.
• Lead installation and setup of firewalls, switches, wireless LAN, and other network infrastructure devices. Work closely with contractors to solve technical issues and provide on-site technical guidance.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize the company LAN network, including handling network migration activities. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to ensure stable operations.
• Identify network security risks and performance issues, and implement solutions to improve security, stability, and system performance.
• Support general IT operations, including computer setup, hardware/software troubleshooting, operating system support, IT asset management, and maintenance of meeting room and printing systems.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in networking, with hands-on exposure to large-scale network environments and ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts such as STP, DHCP, BGP, VPN, SD-WAN, and network stacking technologies.
• Experience with enterprise network equipment such as Fortinet, H3C, Huawei, and Edgecore (firewalls, switches, wireless systems).
• Familiar with Windows OS installation, troubleshooting, and basic desktop/network support.
• Strong communication skills, responsible attitude, good teamwork, and customer-oriented mindset.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (to support Mandarin-speaking stakeholders).
