Job summary

PPC MOULDING SERVICES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an Engineering Technician specialising in Plastic Injection Moulding to join our Senai, Johor operations. You will support manufacturing, liaising between engineering and production teams to maintain performance and resolve technical challenges.

The role covers equipment maintenance, quality inspection, data analysis and process improvements. Fresh graduates are welcome, with a focus on safety and teamwork in a 12-hour shift environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proven interest/experience in plastic injection moulding or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, equipment operation and quality control procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and process documentation.
• Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and basic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain plastic injection moulding equipment to ensure consistent performance and production schedules.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on moulding machines and related systems.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Record and analyse production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in setup and configuration of moulds and equipment for new production runs.
• Support process optimisation to reduce waste and improve cycle times.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, production logs and equipment performance metrics.

Engineering Technician (Plastic Injection Moulding)

About the role

PPC MOULDING SERVICES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an Engineering Technician specialising in Plastic Injection Moulding to join our dynamic team in Senai, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our plastic injection moulding processes. As an Engineering Technician, you will be at the forefront of our production operations, liaising between engineering and manufacturing teams to maintain optimal performance and resolve technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain plastic injection moulding equipment to ensure consistent performance and adherence to production schedules
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on moulding machines and associated systems
• Inspect finished products for quality defects and ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements
• Record and analyse production data to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement
• Assist in the setup and configuration of moulds and equipment for new production runs
• Support process optimisation initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times and enhance overall efficiency
• Liaise with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, production logs and equipment performance metrics
• Handling of Cooling tower, chiller, laser marking machine automation.
• Handling of assembly jig machine.
• Knowledge of facility, such as electrical, air con, building infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations within the production environment

What we're looking for

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
• Fresh graduate in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering is encourage to apply.
• Proven experience working in plastic injection moulding or similar manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, equipment operation and quality control procedures
• Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and process documentation
• Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and basic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly
• Familiarity with computerised systems and data recording software is advantageous
• Certification in maintenance or mechanical systems is preferred but not essential
• This job require rotate shift . ( 2 weeks / one month change shift )
• Able to work 12 hours per shift. ( i.e. 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am)
