Job summary

Knauf Insulation Malaysia seeks an on-site Stores Custodian to manage the engineering storeroom, stock materials, and maintain records. You will perform GR and GI in SAP, operate a forklift/electric stacker, and support the on-site engineering team with material availability. The role requires 3+ years of experience and SPM or equivalent, with SAP experience preferred.

Training will be provided. Candidates should maintain stock accuracy, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with maintenance

Qualifications

• Must possess at least SPM or other equivalent.
• Certificate/diploma in technical/engineering is an added advantage.
• At least minimum of 3 years working experience required for this position.
• Can operate forklift and electric stacker.
• Good knowledge of store arrangement/management system/method.
• Experience with SAP preferable but not essential; training will be provided.
• Solid problem-solving abilities; team player and ability to work on an independent basis.
• In addition to Melayu, ability to communicate fairly in English; any other language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of goods from lorry/sea container using reach truck or forklift.
• Open packaging material/crate for inspection of goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Check specifications and correctness of goods received as per PO.
• Perform goods receipt (GR) in SAP on same day of receiving and transfer goods to dedicated rack.
• Support on site engineering team by checking physical availability of material.
• Ensure everyone writes in goods issuance book if they want to take any item from store.
• Perform goods issuance (GI) of items on the same day of goods issued.
• Ensure store accurate and warehouse safety with proper arrangement and stock items in designated places.
• Check and control daily incoming/outgoing materials and ensure stock accuracy using SAP.
• Every month, perform 1 rack manual stock take and submit the list to maintenance planner.
• Support ad-hoc requests by maintenance planner/engineering manager for material shifting, housekeeping, stock check, stock take.
• Responsible for handling all material tracking, storage and identification.
• Issue Purchase Requisition (PR) for all stock items and ad-hoc goods and services as required.
• Communicate with other plants in Europe for urgent delivery of stock items.
• Responsible for HSE PPE inventory.
• Active engagement in plant CI activities and support plant improvement by submitting CI ideas.

About you

• Good knowledge of store arrangement/management system/method
• Able to identify machineries spare parts and the purposes such as various type of bearings, screws, belts, cylinders
• Experience with SAP preferable but not essential; training will be provided
• Solid problem-solving abilities; team player and ability to work on an independent basis
• In addition to Melayu, ability to communicate fairly in English; any other language is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team, work within deadlines
