Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation and RFQ processing.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations based on customer inquiries, drawings, and specifications.
• Analyze RFQ documents and identify project requirements.
• Calculate material, labour, machining, and overhead costs.
• Review engineering drawings, BOM, and technical documents.
• Ensure quotations comply with company policies and profit margins.
• Support the sales team with technical clarifications.
• Participate in customer discussions regarding technical requirements.
• Revise quotations based on customer feedback or design changes.

Job description

Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations based on customer inquiries, drawings, and specifications.

Analyse RFQ (Request for Quotation) documents and identify project requirements.

Calculate material, labour, machining, and overhead costs.

Technical Evaluation

Review engineering drawings, BOM, and technical documents.

Ensure the proposed solution meets customer specifications and industry standards.

Work closely with engineering and production teams to verify feasibility.

Resourceful with raw material, standard parts suppliers and finishing suppliers.

Request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Compare supplier pricing, delivery schedules, and technical specifications.

Select the most competitive and reliable suppliers.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain quotation records, costing sheets, and pricing databases.

Prepare technical proposals and supporting documents for submission.

Ensure quotations comply with company policies and profit margins.

Support the sales team with technical clarifications.

Participate in customer discussions regarding technical requirements.

Revise quotations based on customer feedback or design changes.
