Job summary

Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites a seasoned Technical Support lead to oversee machinery, utilities and facilities operations. You will manage maintenance projects, troubleshoot urgent issues, and drive continuous improvement across equipment and processes.

The role demands a degreed engineer with at least 10 years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and experience with ISO/GMP/HACCP. Mandarin speakers are an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Industrial/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of cross-cultural negotiation and business environment.
• Proactive, self-starter capable of managing multiple projects/priorities.
• Experience in rules and regulations adherence and audit processes (ISO, HALAL, HACCP, DOSH, BOMBA).
• Excellent planning and project management skills.
• Strong technical know-how and leadership abilities.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Minimum 10 years of solid engineering experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and improvement projects; plan and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot urgent technical issues.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues.
• Support procurement, inventory and distribution of spare parts.
• Provide leadership on production floor and ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization across processes.
