Job summary

LINKWING CLOUD TECH MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Kulai, Johor, seeks an Engineering Manager to oversee the Manufacturing Engineering Department, including SMT/DIP equipment, process engineering, and optical inspection, driving end-to-end factory operations.

You will lead the development of the manufacturing engineering system, establish standards and SOPs, manage an engineering team, support NPI, and ensure process yield, cost control, and adherence to IPC and Lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in server PCBA or other electronics manufacturing industries.
• Strong expertise in end-to-end SMT/DIP processes, equipment, and quality control for server motherboards.
• Extensive experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), new equipment selection, and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end operations of the Manufacturing Engineering Department, including SMT/DIP equipment, process engineering, optical inspection, and process engineering teams.
• Establish the factory's manufacturing engineering system, develop engineering standards, process specifications, and SOPs, and lead the introduction and validation of new production lines, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Drive process yield improvement, production efficiency enhancement, and manufacturing cost control. Lead technical troubleshooting and resolution of complex manufacturing issues.
• Build, develop, train, and manage the engineering team, including performance management. Coordinate customer technical audits and support New Product Introduction (NPI) requirements.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality departments to resolve manufacturing abnormalities and drive continuous improvement, ensuring manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Lead new factory production line planning, equipment selection, and the development of manufacturing engineering and technical solutions.

Job description

Job Requirements

2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in server PCBA or other electronics manufacturing industries. Experience in establishing production lines from scratch for a new factory is highly preferred.

3. Strong expertise in end-to-end SMT/DIP processes, equipment, and quality control for server motherboards. Familiar with IPC industry standards and Lean Manufacturing systems.

4. Extensive experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), new equipment selection, and resolving complex technical challenges. Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English.

5. Excellent overall management, technical planning, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the ability to lead engineering initiatives and drive operational excellence.

Additional Remarks

This is a key management position requiring end-to-end leadership in factory production line planning, equipment selection, and the establishment of a comprehensive manufacturing engineering system. The role will also be responsible for supporting production ramp-up and customer certification.
