Job summary

LINKWING CLOUD TECH MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Kulai seeks an Industrial Engineer to establish and drive Lean Manufacturing across the factory, including standard times and management procedures.

You will plan production line layouts, perform line balancing, capacity planning, and cost-reduction initiatives while deploying SMED, VSM and Kaizen. Fluency in Chinese and English is required; experience in electronics manufacturing and NPI is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years IE experience in electronics manufacturing, including server PCBA.
• Proficient in standard time setting and line balancing.
• Experience building an IE system from scratch for new factory.
• Fluent in Chinese and English, with strong project execution.

Job description

1. Responsible for establishing and implementing the factory's Lean Manufacturing System, including developing IE standards and management procedures.

2. Responsible for production line layout planning and optimization, standard time setting, production line balancing analysis, and improvement.

3. Responsible for capacity planning and calculation, production efficiency improvement, and cost reduction initiatives, as well as implementing Lean tools such as SMED, VSM, and Kaizen.

4. Implement 5S and visual management systems, conduct motion studies and standardization of employee work methods, and optimize operational processes.

5. Conduct Lean Manufacturing training, develop and update SOPs, and track, analyze, and review improvement project performance data.

6. Conduct manufacturability assessments for new product introductions (NPI), establish standard operating times, and evaluate tooling and fixture requirements.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma or above in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience as an IE Engineer in the electronics manufacturing industry, including at least 2 years of experience in server PCBA or other electronics manufacturing industries.

3. Proficient in standard time setting, production line balancing, layout planning, and core Lean Manufacturing tools.

4. Experience in establishing an IE system from scratch for a new factory, production ramp-up, and cost optimization projects.

5. Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English, with strong project execution and problem-solving skills.

Additional Remarks:

Candidates with experience in establishing and implementing Lean Manufacturing Systems in the automotive electronics or server manufacturing industries will be preferred.
