Job summary

A leading hospitality service provider in Kuantan is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the efficient operation of the Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include ensuring optimal maintenance of all equipment and facilities, as well as providing technical support to various departments. Proficiency in English is required, and Malaysian Nationals are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years work experience as Engineering Manager in larger operation.
• Good technical knowledge of HVAC systems and hydraulics.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, fire main, sprinklers, water treatment or hydraulics.
• Strong problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills.
• BO Chargeman certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga is an added advantage.
• Verbal and written English language proficiency is required, with a second language helpful.
• Malaysian Nationals only due to immigration regulations.

Summary

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the division in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Engineering Manager is responsible to ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.

Qualifications

• Ideally with a University Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management.
• Minimum 3 years work experience as Engineering Manager in larger operation.
• Technical knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, fire main systems, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics will be an advantage.
