Job summary

VS Industry Bhd is seeking an experienced Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to lead the full manufacturing lifecycle from order kick-off to final buy-off. You will coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, quality and suppliers to hit milestones while ensuring BOM accuracy and ECN control.

You will oversee assembly, testing (functional, electrical, software) and drive continuous improvements to boost efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness in a semiconductor equipment environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in IE, PM or manufacturing engineering in electronics/semiconductor/equipment manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, plant layout, assembly operations and ECN.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement; industrial automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing lifecycle from order kick-off to customer buy-off.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and suppliers to meet milestones and QA.
• Manage BOM accuracy, ECN implementation and engineering drawings/documentation.
• Oversee assembly, functional, electrical and software testing to meet specs.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality and cost.
• Monitor progress and resolve manufacturing issues to finish on time and budget.
• Lead and support Industrial Engineering team toward departmental goals.

Job description

• Lead the manufacturing lifecycle of semiconductor equipment from order kick-off, RFQ, procurement, assembly, testing and final customer buy-off.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and suppliers to ensure project milestones, quality requirements and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Manage BOM accuracy, ECN implementation, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation to support efficient production.
• Oversee equipment assembly, functional, electrical and software testing to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Monitor project progress, identify and resolve manufacturing issues, and ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
• Lead and support the Industrial Engineering team in achieving departmental objectives while fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, project management, or manufacturing engineering within the electronics, semiconductor or equipment manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, plant layout, assembly operations, BOM management and engineering change control (ECN).
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and industrial automation will be an advantage.
