KL-Kepong Rubber Products Sdn Bhd in Ipoh invites a seasoned maintenance leader to head the engineering department. The role focuses on breakdown and preventive maintenance, improvement projects, and achieving high OEE in glove manufacturing.

You will manage capital projects, budgets, and maintenance systems, develop teams, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive reliability, uptime, and operational excellence at the Ipoh factory.

Qualificações

• Graduate Degree or Master in Engineering or relevant technical field or equivalent.
• 8+ years' experience in glove manufacturing or related field.
• Experience as a manager in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; results oriented.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the department in breakdown and preventive maintenance, improvement projects, and excellence initiatives.
• Manage capital expenditure projects including planning, budgeting, and schedules.
• Stay updated on manufacturing technologies and evaluate their impact on operations.
• Oversee maintenance system implementation, spare parts inventory, and manpower planning.
• Ensure minimal downtime and achieve KPI targets; drive OEE improvements.
• Supervise engineering staff and provide training for optimal performance.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to sustain reliability.

To lead the department in managing breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects while ensuring operational excellence and innovation.

Key responsibilities

Manage capital expenditure projects, including planning, budget control, and project schedules.

Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies and evaluate their potential to enhance operational effectiveness.

Develop, direct, and evaluate operational excellence and continuous improvement projects.

Oversee the implementation and evaluation of new manufacturing technologies.

Ensure operational effectiveness of existing processes and identify improvement areas.

Supervise engineering department personnel and provide necessary training for optimal performance.

Derive, monitor, and control departmental budgets to meet objectives.

Develop and implement a robust maintenance management system, including preventive and predictive maintenance, parts inventory control, and manpower management.

Ensure minimal downtime and effective KPI achievement by the team.

Develop plans to achieve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Graduate Degree or Master in Engineering or relevant technical field or equivalent.

At least 8 Year(s) of working experience in glove industry / related field is required for this position.

Preferably Manager specialized in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.

Possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills and result oriented.

Possesses good leadership, teamwork and communication traits in leading the organization’s Engineering department as well as working closely with all internal and external stakeholders associated.
