Job summary

Forest City Marina Hotel in Gelang Patah, Johor is seeking a maintenance technician to assist the engineering team with daily upkeep of hotel facilities and equipment.

The role covers preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, plus basic troubleshooting and inspection of rooms and public areas.

Ideal candidates maintain records, follow safety procedures, and support ongoing efforts to keep engineering systems running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in daily maintenance work of hotel facilities and equipment
• Support preventive maintenance tasks for air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and report technical issues to supervisors
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
• Assist in repairing minor defects such as lighting, sockets, and simple plumbing issues
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and according to hotel standards
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and equipment status
• Support the team in ensuring all engineering systems are operating efficiently
• Follow safety procedures and workplace regulations at all times
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Engineering Department
