Job summary

MARIBUMI SDN BHD is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to design, develop, install and maintain Overhead/Underground Fibre Optic Cable networks across Sabah. The role involves hands-on engineering work and ensuring timely project delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Telecommunication/Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' experience; proficient in English and Bahasa, own transport, and willing to travel across Sabah East Coast.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Telecommunication/Electrical & Electronic Engineering or its equivalent; Diploma holders also encouraged to apply.
• At least 2 years of working experience in related field.

• Own transport, able to travel across Sabah East Coast as role covers Paitan to Kalabakan.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, installation & maintenance of Overhead/Underground Fibre Optic Cable across Sabah.
• Supervise, coordinate and monitor work according to project plan; conduct site inspections to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Arrange submission of plans to local authorities and coordinate inspections to kick off projects.

Job description

Qualification: Minimum Degree in Telecommunication/Electrical & Electronic Engineering or its equivalent (Experienced Diploma Holder also encouraged to apply).

Proficient in English and Bahasa.

At least 2 years of working experience in related field.

Highly motivated and able to work to tight deadlines.

An excellent communicator who can articulate ideas and resolve engineering issues.

Possess own transport, willing to travel and flexible approach to hours and location, as this role will be required to work across all in Sabah East Coast area (Paitan - Kalabakan).

Prefer candidate: ENGINEERS in Telecommunications/Electronic or equivalent.

Responsibility

Design, development, installation & maintenance of Overhead/Underground Fibre Optic Cable throughout Sabah.

Supervise, control, and coordinate work according to project plan to ensure timely completion and high-quality work. Conduct frequent sites inspections and meetings to ensure high quality work and on time delivery of material in accordance with schedule.

Arrange submission of plans to local authorities and arrange inspections of work to kick off projects.
