Job summary

Hartalega is seeking an engineering professional to drive technical responsibilities across equipment, process, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation areas. You will coordinate internal and external engineering activities for assigned projects and lead design, implementation, commissioning and handover of projects as delegated by the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing environments in process or design departments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and technical drawing.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to perform on-site measurements.

Responsibilities

• Define project specifications by analysing design, customer requirements and performance standards, and prepare technical studies and cost estimates.
• Validate product and process performance through structured design reviews, testing and verification activities.
• Control project execution by reviewing designs, specifications, schedules and performance trends while recommending corrective actions.
• Develop project proposals by collecting and analysing data, summarising findings and presenting improvements to stakeholders.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, redesign activities and process optimisation across the site.
• Drive and coordinate CI activities, including technical studies, cost analyses, and cross-functional integration of improvements.
• Plan and conduct capability-building activities by training employees on CI strategies, tools and best practices.
• Lead problem-solving using root cause analysis and statistical techniques to reduce variation and eliminate waste.
• Perform operational and manufacturing process analysis to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable changes with process owners.
• Serve as a process improvement expert for operational tasks, improvement projects, and related assignments.

Qualification and Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field, with exposure to operations or process improvement considered an advantage.
2. Experience in manufacturing environments within process or design departments; fresh graduates may also apply.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and technical drawing tasks.
4. Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
5. Ability to perform site work, including on-site measurements and related technical tasks.
