Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Technical Engineer to support daily engineering activities, prepare accurate technical documentation, and collaborate with production to ensure timely delivery of tasks. You will update drawings, manage part numbers and BOMs, and participate in new product development to transfer designs to production.

Ideal candidates have a Mechanical Engineering background, are proficient with AutoCAD/SolidWorks, understand ISO quality systems, and can work with minimal

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with exposure to air-conditioning products or systems.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of ISO quality management systems.
• Familiarity with machine programming would be an added advantage.
• A proactive approach, attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update engineering drawings based on customer orders and product requirements.
• Create and maintain part numbers and bills of materials (BOM) in the MRP system.
• Lead new product development activities, coordinating with relevant departments to support production readiness.
• Support the smooth transfer of product designs to production, ensuring design accuracy and completeness.
• Manage the distribution of controlled and uncontrolled drawings to relevant departments.
• Maintain proper records, revision control and traceability of engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Complete assigned engineering tasks within agreed timelines and support departmental efficiency.
• Ensure technical documentation is handled securely and in accordance with internal quality procedures.
