Jora Malaysia is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to model HVAC equipment in SolidWorks and Inventor. The role focuses on creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs while coordinating design reviews with engineering teams.
You will ensure CAD data management, standardization, and ongoing improvement activities, including strength/tolerance analyses. The position is based in Bukit Angkat, Kajang and requires at least 1 year of HVAC 3D design experience.

3D Modeling Design of air conditioning equipment in using Solidworks (majority) and Inventor (minority) CAD methods, based on engineering input such as constraints on dimensions, factory tooling & facilities, cost and quality requirements. Actively coordinate the 3D modelling design review together with the relevant Product EICs.
Prepare and monitor detailed released and manufacturing drawings, including schematics, fabrication/flat, assembly, dxf file and artwork on CAD, in a timely manner.
Prepare and monitor computations for bills of material.
Monitor design and drawings updates, as per engineering input and engineering change order.
Standardization, such as design standardization and CAD data management. To monitor the 3D design modeling filings, released drawing filings, dxf filings, etc..
Initiate and pursue improvement activities, including participating in respective improvement activity or cost-saving.
Deem necessary, conduct strength analysis and tolerance analysis of product assemblies by using CAE software or other software (e.g. finite element analysis).
Coordinate troubleshooting design problems and advise countermeasure to resolve.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
Minimum 1 years of 3D design experience of piping, structural steel and sheet metal fabrication, preferably for HVAC industries.
Highly proficient in the use of 3D CAD system – preferably Solidworks & Autodesk Inventor.
Excellent problem solving and innovation qualities.
Good communication skills and able to work as a team.
Education Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Degree holder in Engineering principle, with CAD/CAM certificates with more than 2 years 3D Design Experience in HVAC industries.
