Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an HVAC/Mechanical Drafter to prepare drawings and technical documents using AutoCAD. You will develop ducting, piping and equipment layout drawings, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure accurate design documentation.

Ideal candidates have a diploma or certificate in mechanical engineering or drafting, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and are proficient in AutoCAD. Experience with Revit MEP is a plus and you should be able to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as HVAC/Mechanical Drafter.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to interpret engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop ducting, piping and equipment layout drawings.
• Prepare shop, coordination and as-built drawings.
• Produce HVAC details, sections, schematics and equipment schedules.
• Update drawings based on client and engineer comments.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical and other services.
• Review site information and incorporate changes into drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers and proper document control.
• Support engineers in preparing technical documents and material take-offs.
• Attend site visits and coordination meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC drawings using AutoCAD
• Develop ducting, piping and equipment layout drawings
• Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built drawings
• Produce HVAC details, sections, schematics and equipment schedules
• Update drawings based on client, consultant and engineer comments
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical and other services
• Review site information and incorporate changes into drawings
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and proper document control
• Support engineers in preparing technical documents and material take-offs
• Attend site visits and coordination meetings when required

About you

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an HVAC or Mechanical Drafter
• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting or a related field
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of HVAC ducting, piping, ventilation and air-conditioning systems
• Able to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience in industrial, oil and gas, or commercial HVAC projects is preferred
• Knowledge of Revit MEP or 3D modelling is an advantage
• Familiar with Microsoft Office
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills
