Job summary

The role focuses on initiating and monitoring corrective actions, driving problem-solving processes, and ensuring a robust quality management system in line with ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Initiation and monitoring of corrective actions to achieve defined quality levels.
• Drive problem-solving with regular follow-up and milestone control via CAR/8D/Why-Why Analysis.
• Drive and monitor quality management systems (ISO 9001, TS 16949 etc).
• Conduct internal process audits; control, manage and report audit findings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with production to improve process stability and reduce waste from scrap, rework or warranty claims.
• Escalate chronic quality issues with the production line manager for action.
• Ensure alignment between external and internal indicators for an efficient quality system.
• Drive corrective and preventive cross-functional actions on major quality issues.
• Liaise with external service providers and contractors on product quality issues and operations development.
• Attend inter- and intra-department meetings and meetings related to quality and warranty.
• Cover product audit activities to stay updated on specifications and standards.
• Develop people with the required skill and knowledge; implement company policies.

Job description

1. Initiation and monitoring of corrective actions, to ensure that the defined quality levels are achieved.

2. To drive the problem-solving process with regular follow up of the problem-solving status. Control the problem-solving process according to agreed milestones through CAR/8D/Why-Why Analysis. Regular reporting of the status of the corrective action in the production meeting and to specialist product quality.

3. To drive and monitor quality managements system (ISO 9001 standard, documentations, TS 16909 etc).

4. To drive and conduct an internal process audit, control, manage and report out the finding of process audit also other matter related to it.

5. Work closely with the production team to ensure continuous improvements in process stability in order to reduce waste due to scrap, rework or warranty claim.

6. Analysis and escalation of the chronic quality issues in production line along with production line manager for action escalation.

7. Establish close linkages between the external and internal indicators to ensure an efficient and effective quality system in place.

8. Drive for Corrective and Preventive cross-functional follow-up actions on major issues pertaining to product/parts/material quality, customer complaints, through cross-functional initiatives.

9. Perform liaison activities with external service providers, contractors and on matters related to product quality issues, operations development, and implementation.

10. Attends inter and intra department meetings and teleconferences conferences, meeting discussions related to quality issues and warranty.

11. Substitute for the product audit activities to keep updated on the specifications and standards.

12. Develop people with the required skill & knowledge to maximize performance. Implement company's policies and procedures.

13. Assist Head of Department on daily quality operation.

14. To execute the General Duties of Employer under part IV Section 15 of Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994) and Environmental Quality Act (EQA 1974).
