Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a process engineer to perform PVD process engineering and line sustainment, collaborating with multiple teams to resolve production issues and minimise line disruptions.

The role requires 1–3 years in semiconductors, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, strong English communication, and ability to work in a clean room on shift patterns while driving problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant semiconductor experience.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Materials, Mechanical, Chemical).
• Excellent English communication and ability to interact with all levels.
• Willingness to work in shifts in a clean room environment.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Perform process engineering and sustainment for PVD processes and tools.
• Collaborate across Manufacturing, MNT, UPE, LBS, Technology and Quality to resolve production and quality issues.
• Support tool installations and process ramp, tech transfers to meet targets and tool release flows.
• Perform FMEA and risk assessment for process changes with change management.
• Ensure process robustness with APC, SPC and other control tools.
• Manage recipes and procedures; develop and maintain process ramp and OCAP.
• Initiate and support excursions reduction, cost reduction and quality improvement projects.

Your Role

• Perform process engineering and production line sustaining for PVD process and tool
• Work as a team between Manufacturing/ MNT/ UPE/ LBS/ Technology/Quality to resolve production and quality issues and reduce production line disruptions.
• Support tools installations as well as process ramp, technology transfers to meet company targets, following standard process ramp; tool release business flow
• Perform FMEA, risk assessment of process changes, with proper process change management
• Ensure the robustness of processes with Advance Process Control (APC), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other process control tools.
• Manage recipe and procedural control. Develop and maintain process ramp; operation specifications as well as Out of Control Action Plan(OCAP)
• Initiate, coordinate and support excursion prevention, cost reduction and quality improvement projects

• Bachelor or Master degree in an engineering discipline (Material Science, Mechanical, Chemical)
• Positive character and good communication in English and ability to interact with all levels of employees

• Ability to identify and resolve problems with strategic thinking and presentable
