Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer in Unit Process Engineering to shape future technology by driving groundbreaking projects and bringing new ideas to life. You will merge creativity with technical expertise to deliver robust processes and continuous improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, strong problem-solving, and leadership abilities to guide teams and ensure successful daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology.
• Minimum 5 years related experience in Trim & Form / Package Singulation or Semiconductor manufacturing background.
• Knowledge & experiences in EOL process.
• Systematic Problem-Solving methodology (e.g. 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, FTA, Fish Bond…etc.)
• Good knowledge and skills in production area.
• Good leadership skills and able to communicate with different level of staffs.
• First level reliability (Knowledge of various failure modes, knowledge of application and respective reliability requirements and test standards)
• Ability to anticipate issues and challenges and resolving them quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop a robust process and continuously drive improvement in yield and quality.
• Accountable and drive for 8D closure of FAR, MRB, DDM, and SCAR.
• Participate & handle internal and external audit support.
• Lead in yield & quality improvement projects & cost savings projects.
• Responsible for process documentation (e.g., Process spec, OJTi, FMEA, failure catalogue, build sheet).
• Provide technical consultation and guidance to the team to ensure success in daily tasks and projects.
