Job summary

Integer Holdings Corporation in George Town, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced CNC Engineer to design, program, and optimize machining processes for high-precision components. You will set up CNC machines, interpret drawings, select tooling, and ensure quality through QMS compliance.

Qualifications

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• You will originate new documents such as protocols, reports, specifications and work‑instructions; and you may also review documentation work product of peers and others.
• You will plan and develop engineering projects concerning unique problems or team challenges, which have an important impact on moderate to large programs.
• You may lead cross‑functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk and/or complexity and may begin developing the skills to influence others to achieve goals.
• You will initiate and maintain relationships with individuals and business units within your site or organization.
• Design and develop CNC programs for machining parts using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Mastercam.
• Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) and ensure proper calibration.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Optimize machining processes for efficiency, precision, and cost reduction.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting finished components using measuring tools.
• Collaborate with production and design teams to improve manufacturability.
• Maintain documentation of programs, processes, and machine settings.
• You will be proficient in specialty areas or technologies and build advanced skills to become a subject‑matter expert; occasional travel may be required.
• You embed Quality within the Engineering discipline – “I own Quality.” You are a standard bearer for Quality in everything we do at Integer, ensuring adherence to our QMS, contributing to corrective and preventive actions, and supporting the achievement of our quality KPIs.
• You perform other duties, as needed and as directed by your line of supervision.

Education & Experience

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience with CNC programming and machining.

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam).
• Understanding of G‑code and M‑code programming.
• Knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, composites).
