Entegris Malaysia SDN Bhd in Kulim is seeking an Engineer II, Continuous Improvement to lead plant-wide CI initiatives and drive Lean deployment across operations. The role focuses on improving productivity, reducing waste, and cutting costs through data-driven improvements and training of Kaizen teams.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering with 3–5 years in CI, Lean, or industrial engineering; Green/Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
Engineer II, Continuous Improvement
The Role: Sr Engineer/Engineer, Continuous Improvement Act as Continuous Improvement lead for Kulim plant.
Lead and drive plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with Operations teams to identify, analyze, and implement process improvements focused on productivity, waste reduction, and cost optimization. Drive Lean deployment at the plant level, emphasizing programs such as Tiered Daily Management, 5S + Safety, SMED, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Plan and conduct Kaizen events; provide training and mentorship to Kaizen teams on Lean methodologies, including PDCA, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for both current and future states etc. Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to assess current processes, uncover inefficiencies, and convert data into actionable insights and improvement plans. Evaluate the implications of new product transfers on workflows, resource allocation, and process optimization strategies. Deliver internal training and awareness programs to promote Lean Sigma principles and a continuous improvement culture across all levels. Utilize data mining techniques to uncover cost‑saving opportunities and implement robust performance tracking systems. Perform ad-hoc tasks and assignments as required to support organizational objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field. 3–5 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or industrial engineering. Proven problem‑solving abilities and strong communication skills across all levels of the organization. Self‑motivation and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), or equivalent methodologies is highly desirable. Proficiency in core industrial engineering techniques; experience with AutoCAD is an added advantage.
Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Proactive and flexible, with a willingness to take on various tasks in support of the organizational goals.
