Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Failure Analysis engineer to perform full physical analysis on memory ICs, IoT devices, USBs and microcontrollers, and to document findings in formal reports.

You will liaise with engineering groups for corrective actions, pioneer new analysis techniques, and take ownership of specific tools and equipment. Fresh graduates with interest in FA are welcome; knowledge of semiconductor physics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electronics, Electrical, Microelectronics, Materials Engineering, Physics or Chemistry.
• 0–5 years' experience in silicon level failure analysis on IC failure.
• Fresh graduates with strong interest in Failure Analysis welcome.
• Prefer knowledge of semiconductor and physics.
• Familiarity with bench test setup and verification, fault isolation equipment/techniques such as OBIRCH, Photon and Thermal emission.
• Familiarity with die deprocessing and proficiency with AI knowledge is advantageous.

• Familiarity on Bench test setup and verification, fault isolation equipment/technique such as OBIRCH, Photon and Thermal emission.
• Familiarity in die deprocessing and proficiency in operating advance failure analysis tools (e.g. FESEM, FIB) and knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (Al) would be added advantage.
