Pivotal Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kedah, Malaysia seeks a manufacturing process engineer to lead optimization of secondary/EP operations, drive CAPA, and improve product quality and cost efficiency. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to implement robust processes and documentation.
Requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing, with Lean/Six Sigma experience and strong data analysis.
Lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of secondary processes and EP (Electroplating/Electropolishing) manufacturing operations.
Support and improve manufacturing processes to achieve high product quality, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Monitor and optimize secondary and EP process parameters to ensure process stability and product consistency.
Analyze production data, identify process trends, root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve process and quality-related issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies.
Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support equipment setup, qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for secondary/EP processes.
Monitor process yields, scrap rates, chemical usage, and recommend improvement plans for productivity and cost reduction.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards related to secondary and EP operations.
Provide technical support and guidance to technicians, operators, and production personnel.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on process-related improvements, materials, chemicals, and equipment support.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI), process transfer, and production ramp-up activities.
Perform other ad hoc tasks/projects assigned by superior from time to time.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of working experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in Secondary Process / EP operations.
Strong knowledge of secondary manufacturing processes and EP (Electroplating/Electropolishing) operations.
Familiar with process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement tools is an added advantage.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Fishbone Analysis).
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/manufacturing systems.
Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and Chinese-speaking personnel.
Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
Strong teamwork, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
