Job summary

Aveta Global Marketing in Bukit Raja, Selangor, is seeking a Production/Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes for higher productivity, quality and efficiency. You will monitor processes, develop SOPs, control plans, and work instructions, perform process validation, resolve issues with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing/quality/process engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and process optimization.
• Experience with SOPs, work instructions, control plans and process validation.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate production processes for smooth, efficient operations.
• Develop, review and maintain work instructions, SOPs and control plans.

The Production / Process Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing processes to achieve higher levels of productivity, efficiency, quality and operational performance. The role involves monitoring production processes, developing and improving work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and control plans, conducting process validation, supporting production teams in resolving process and product issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Production Process Management

• Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Develop, review and maintain work instructions, SOPs and control plans.
• Ensure production processes are carried out according to established standards and specifications.
• Identify process gaps, bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with the Production team to ensure processes are properly implemented.

2. Process Improvement & Optimization

• Conduct process validation and improvement activities to enhance quality, productivity and efficiency.
• Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to reduce waste, defects, downtime and unnecessary costs.
• Develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and recommend further actions where required.
• Promote continuous improvement within the production environment.

3. Quality & Process Control

• Support quality control activities to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
• Monitor process performance and investigate process-related quality issues.
• Work with Quality and Production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure process controls are properly established and maintained.
• Support activities related to product and process quality improvement.

4. Production Problem Solving

• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams when encountering product or process issues.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related problems.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve production issues effectively.
• Follow up on corrective actions until issues are properly closed.
• Maintain proper documentation and records related to product development, process changes and quality improvements.
• Prepare and update engineering documents, SOPs, work instructions and control plans.
• Ensure process changes are properly documented and communicated to relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate records of process validation and improvement activities.

6. Performance Monitoring & KPI

• Monitor production and process performance against established KPIs.
• Analyze production data, defect trends and process performance.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Track the effectiveness of improvement activities.
• Support Management in achieving production, quality and efficiency targets.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and other relevant departments.
• Coordinate improvement projects and process-related activities across departments.
• Provide technical input during product development and process improvement activities.
• Promote effective teamwork and communication within the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or other related engineering fields.

Working Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in Product Development, Process Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality-related roles will be an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Good understanding of process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with Work Instructions, SOPs and Control Plans.
• Knowledge of quality control and process validation.
• Ability to analyze production data and identify process issues.
• Good problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of manufacturing-related tools and methodologies will be an added advantage.
