Job summary

Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM) invites applications for an Engineer, Electrical and Instrumentation. The role focuses on planning, installing, monitoring, and maintaining PLC systems, with supervision of electronic and instrumentation equipment and grounding.

You will ensure SCADA remains reliable and lead upkeep with industry standards. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Instrumentation and at least 2 years' experience, based in Sitiawan, Perak.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics or Instrumentation or equivalent.
• Proficient in PLC programming and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, monitor, and maintain the PLC system in the plant.
• Oversee installation and maintenance of electronic and instrumentation equipment, ensuring proper wiring, connections, and grounding.
• Maintain and monitor the SCADA system.
• Monitor performance of electronics and instrument systems to diagnose problems and plan repairs.
• Keep up-to-date with evolving technology and industry standards to implement enhancements.

Engineer, Electrical and Instrumentation

Plan, install, monitor, and maintain the PLC system in the plant.

Oversee the installation and maintenance of electronic and instrumentation equipment, ensuring proper wiring, connections, and grounding.

Maintain and monitor the SCADA system in good condition.

Oversee the installation and maintenance of electronic and instrumentation equipment, ensuring proper wiring, connections, and grounding.

Monitor the performance of electronics and instrument system to identify and diagnose potential problems, breakdowns, repairs that are require. Proactively make plans to rectify and repair to avoid any unplanned downtime.

Constantly keep abreast of the technological evolution, leading practices, industry standards to upkeep and implement feasible technological enhancements that are beneficial to improved performance and better efficiency.

Research on new materials and propose solutions that can be utilized or implemented to improve the functionality of electronic and instrument equipment.

Manage suppliers, contractors and vendors of the electronics and instrument system to ensure the maintenance repair or installation of equipment fulfils the requirement/ performance expected by the stakeholders.

Maintain detailed documentation of all designs, installations, and maintenance activities.

Develop and share the knowledge in the area of expertise with the team, to enhance the competency and upskill the skillset of the workforce in the team.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics or Instrumentation or equivalent with minimum 2 years working experience in the relevant field.

Proficient in computer software including PLC programming.
