Job summary

GAMUDA is seeking a BIM modeller/engineer to develop and enhance 3D models for coordination, shop drawings and combined services production. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver BIM solutions for our building projects.

The role requires a Civil/Structural engineering background with familiarity in REVIT, AutoCAD and other 3D tools. Fresh graduates with passion for BIM are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with BIM processes and 3D modelling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing/Enhancing 3D models for coordination works, shop drawing, and CSD production.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop BIM solutions for construction projects.
• Perform design and constructability study virtually before commencing construction.
• Review consultants’ design for the project according to scope and schedule.
• Issue RFIs, design options/changes and follow up with consultants.
• Lead and guide draftspersons/3D modellers assigned to the project.
• Participate in BIM discussions to resolve project-related problems.
• Ensure Quality, Safety & Health compliance as required by the Company.

Job description:

Provide technical support for building construction project by developing 3D BIM model and simulating complex building systems for Architecture, Civil & Structure, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing/Enhancing 3D models for coordination works, shop drawing, combined services drawing (CSD) production.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative BIM solutions for construction projects.
• Perform design and constructability study for Architecture, Civil and Structure discipline of the project virtually before commencing construction.
• Reviews and ensures consultants’ design for the project according to the scope of work and specification according to the defined schedule.
• Issuing RFIs, design options/changes, 3D modelling issues and other design issues to the consultants’ and follow up closely.
• Work closely with senior design engineer in proposing design solutions based on engineering principles and best practices.
• Actively collaboration with Site Operation & Production teams on the creation of cutting-edge designs, construction and fabrication processes.
• Lead and guide draftspersons/3D modellers assigned to the project.
• Participate in technical, operational and BIM discussion to resolve problems related to projects.
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
• Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management

Qualifications

Holds a Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge in 3D modelling tools (REVIT) and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Others 3D modelling software, eg. SketchUp, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor may be considered.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

• 1-2 years preparing 3D models and/or C&S/Architecture Site experience.
