Job summary

Leighton Asia invites qualified engineers to support the design and implementation of BAMS architecture and control systems in KL, Malaysia. The role focuses on integrating BAMS with MEP, Fire Protection and Security systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.

The candidate should have a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Building Services and 3–5 years of BMS/BAMS experience, with BIM coordination experience as a strong plus and exposure to data centres

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Building Services or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of BMS/BAMS design, coordination or implementation.
• Experience in data centre, commercial, industrial or mission-critical facilities is an added advantage.
• Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of BAMS architecture and control systems.
• Review BAMS design drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Develop, review, and validate I/O lists for controls and monitoring systems.
• Coordinate integration between BAMS and various building systems including MEP, Fire Protection, Security, and related systems.
• Review and coordinate communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, OPC, MQTT, and TCP/IP.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Coordinate system interfaces and resolve clashes with MEP subcontractor and equipment suppliers.
• Review Material Submission Approvals (MSA) and technical submissions.

Job Duties

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.

• Experience in data centre, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities is an added advantage.
• Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project environments.
