Job summary

JST Connectors (M) Sdn. Bhd. is hiring for 10 full-time engineers across Molding, Stamping and Facilities in Gelang Patah, Johor.

You will support electrical and mechanical systems, participate in machine setups and process improvements, and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality and other departments. Diploma or degree holders with 2–3 years’ experience or fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant working experience preferred in manufacturing, production engineering, industrial automation, or related technical fields.
• Hands-on experience in Molding, Stamping, or Facilities Maintenance is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, automatic insertion machines, troubleshooting and changeover procedures is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.

Job description

Provide engineering and technical support to ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.

Analyse and troubleshoot machine abnormalities, equipment breakdowns, and production-related technical issues.

Support machine setup, parameter adjustment, changeover, and process optimisation.

Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, automated machinery, and electrical control systems.

Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications.

Monitor and improve manufacturing productivity, production yield, equipment efficiency, and product quality.

Support preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise machine downtime.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurring problems.

Participate in equipment installation, machine modification, production trials, and engineering improvement projects.

Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and other relevant departments.

Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, and improvement proposals.

Support Kaizen, 5S, cost reduction, and continuous improvement activities.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Engineering Assignment Areas

Molding

Plastic injection molding processes, machine operations, and process optimisation.

Mold setup, molding parameter adjustment, and troubleshooting.

Molding defect analysis, cycle time reduction, and yield improvement.

Stamping

Metal stamping processes, press machines, dies, and tooling.

Machine setup, die changeover, and stamping process control.

Troubleshooting of stamping defects, tooling abnormalities, and production inefficiencies.

Facilities

Factory facilities maintenance, plant utilities, and electrical systems.

Production machine maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, and equipment reliability.

PLC-controlled machinery, electrical control panels, motors, sensors, and automation systems.

Preventive and corrective maintenance planning and implementation.

Machine installation, modification, testing, and engineering improvement activities.

Coordination of regulated electrical work with appropriately authorised or competent personnel.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines.

2–3 years of relevant working experience is preferred in manufacturing, production engineering, industrial automation, equipment maintenance, or related technical fields.

Hands-on experience in Molding, Stamping, or Facilities Maintenance will be an added advantage.

Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge, relevant industrial training, and good problem-solving abilities are also encouraged to apply.

Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), automatic insertion machines, machine troubleshooting and changeover procedures is desirable.

Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings will be an advantage.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance, manufacturing process improvement, or industrial automation will be an advantage.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
