Job summary

JHM Consolidation Berhad is seeking an SMT Production Supervisor to lead a team of direct operatives, inspectors, and technicians at our Sungai Petani, Kedah facility. The candidate will drive process adherence, training, and continuous improvement in a high-volume environment.

The role requires a Diploma or STPM and 2–3 years SMT production experience, with rotation shifts and strong communication skills. Join a growing electronics manufacturing group with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a STPM or Diploma in any science/technical field of study.
• Those with non-science/technical qualifications but have SMT related work experience can also be considered.
• Must be willing to work on rotating shifts.
• Excellent communication and people management/interaction skills.
• Matured and able to adapt in a fast moving, high volume manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a group of SMT direct operatives, inspectors, leaders and technicians to ensure full compliance of process and work-related procedures as well as machine parameters.
• Manage operations productivity improvements and maximize equipment and material utility levels so as to achieve targeted optimum product/process uph, yield and quality.
• Assist or participate in SMT process characterization activities as and when necessary, in order to ensure maximum yield and quality.
• Ensure the implementation of WIs (work instructions) in each of the SMT manufacturing processes and ensure proper training & certification of operatives and leaders in order to achieve product quality consistency and stability.
• Participate and support in the use and execution of SPC, QC tools, Process Control Plans and CPk indices in order to ensure good process quality management.
• Provide analysis and troubleshooting of all SMT production related issues by establishing the root cause(s) and ensure both short-term and long-term corrective actions are in place.
• Ensure WIP, Inventory levels, quality, cost, uph and delivery performance indices are achieved as per targets set.
• Ensure efficient management in the areas of operatives’ discipline and safety, line orderliness and housekeeping, equipment upkeep and material/wip/inventory integrity.
• Organize and compile all necessary production related information and data so as to facilitate better analysis for productivity and quality improvements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess at least a STPM or Diploma in any science/technical field of study. Those with non-science/technical qualifications but have SMT related work experience can also be considered;

Candidate must possessat least 2-3 years of SMT production work experiences and exposure in similar or related manufacturing industry is preferred;

Must be willing to work on rotating shifts;
