Job summary

Fuji SMBE Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Johor is seeking a Mechanical Engineering graduate to prepare and revise 2D drawings and 3D models according to customer requirements and manufacturing specifications. You will issue job orders, coordinate with production, planning and quality teams, and maintain engineering documentation.

The role involves liaising with customers to clarify drawings, check dimensions and material specs, and assist with improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with CAD software for 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and prevent errors.
• Clear communication with customers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of metal enclosure design or sheet metal fabrication is a plus.

Prepare and revise 2D engineering drawings and 3D models according to customer requirements and manufacturing specifications.

Prepare and issue job orders, ensuring drawings and relevant production information are accurate and complete.

Liaise with customers to clarify drawing requirements, coordinate revisions and resolve drawing or production-related issues.

Coordinate with production, planning and quality teams to support timely and accurate manufacturing.

Maintain engineering documentation, drawing registers, revision records and customer approvals.

Prepare bills of materials and material requirements to support procurement and production.

Check drawings for dimensions, material specifications, completeness and manufacturability before release.

Assist in investigating fabrication or assembly issues and proposing practical improvements.

Undertake other engineering-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Prior exposure to CAD software for 2D drafting and 3D modelling, gained through coursework, projects, internships or employment.

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn, with a habit of carefully checking one’s own work to prevent errors and wastage.

Able to communicate clearly with customers and work closely with internal teams.

Knowledge of metal enclosure design, sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing processes is an added advantage, but not essential.

Candidates must reside locally or have suitable accommodation within commuting distance of the workplace.
