Job summary

Precision Control Sdn Bhd is seeking a CAD drafter to develop and revise production drawings across tender, construction, SHOP, and as‑built categories. You will liaise with engineers for updates and support site drawings with coordination reviews.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering (preferably electrical) with 2–3 years of drafting experience and familiarity with electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical installation. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma in Engineering or equivalent required.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.
• 2-3 years of related work experience in drafting or similar roles.
• Knowledgeable in Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical Installation as a Drafter or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD to develop drawings (Tender, Construction, SHOP, Coordination, As-Built).
• Liaise with engineers for drawing updates and changes.
• Review drawings per engineer instructions and revise accordingly.
• Assist in material take‑off during tender, construction, and as‑built drawings.
• Site visits for as‑built drawings and preparation of rough sketches.
• Attend coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and main contractor; prepare drawings as needed.
• Understand Electrical and Instrumentation installation details and limitations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Uses computer assisted design (CAD) equipment to develop designs, create and revise production drawings. (Tender Drawings, Construction Drawings, SHOP Drawings, Coordination Drawings, As-Built Drawings etc.)

Liaison with engineer for drawing updating & changes.

Able to understand the drawing specifications and written instructions provide by Engineer and revise drawings as per request.

Assist in material taking off during tender, construction, and as built drawings.

Site visit for as-built drawing - Prepare and review the rough sketches and review them along with the project team.

Attend coordination meeting with consultant, client, and main contractor etc., (Prepare and complete necessary drawings during meeting)

Familiar and understand Electrical and Instrumentation installation detail and limitations.

Perform all other duties, activities and responsibilities that may be assigned by superior whenever necessary from time to time.

We Would Appreciate It If You

Possess at least Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Prefer Electrical) or equivalent Required language(s) English, Bahasa Malaysia.

Knowledgeable in Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical Installation as a Drafter or similar roles.

At least 2-3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Competency Requirements

Excellent Skill on AutoCAD (2D)

Excellent Skill on Autodesk Revit (3D)

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (MS Office and MS Excel)

Familiar with Navisworks Freedom 3D Model
