Job summary

Motorola Solutions Malaysia is seeking a bright New Grad Mechanical Engineer to join our Design & Develop team focused on batteries, chargers and power supplies for critical communication products.

You will participate from concept to mass production, create 3D CAD models, generate 2D drawings, perform tolerance analysis, and help prepare manuals while upholding energy safety standards. This role offers hands-on learning in a global, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of material properties.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to communicate and present ideas to technical audiences.
• Knowledge of Creo Parametric 3D software; plastic tooling knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product development from concept to mass production.
• Prepare concept designs meeting customer requirements and guidelines.
• Use CAD to design new products.
• Create 2D drawings per drafting standards.
• Perform mechanical tolerance analysis and DFMEA.
• Set up and maintain BOM.
• Support prototype/pilot builds.
• Conduct mechanical verification tests and write reports.
• Release mechanical prints and qualification reports.
• Compile information for user manuals/instruction sheets.
• Apply energy product safety knowledge to design and assembly.
